Fortress of Redemption

En este post os quiero enseñar como a quedado una vez finalizada la fortaleza de Redención de Games Workshop.

Para pintarla empece aplicando diferentes capas de pincel seco en tonos grises usando pintura acrílica para pared. Para ello compre muestras de pintura, la pintura de pared da un acabado muy mate y bastante parecido al cemento. Una vez acabado con el pincel seco hice las partes metálicas, y a estas les aplique un lavado con Agrax Earthshade. También use este lavado para oscurecer algunas zonas de la grises. Cuando los lavados están bien secos empiezo a jugar con pigmentos para hacer los efectos de oxido y suciedad, En las pasarelas aplique pigmentos rojizos en algunas zonas para hacer oxido al igual en la las parte inferiores de las aspilleras. Después con pigmentos negros y marrones los use para realzar las sombras y hacer efectos de suciedad en los muros, Acabe pintado las partes mas pequeñas (Bolters pesados, focos,...) directamente en la matriz y pegandolas una vez completamente terminadas.

Here I want to present the final result on the painting process of the Fortress of redemption from Games Workshop.

To paint this piece of terrain I started doing different layers of dry brush en Grey tones or ochre depending on the area (angel have more brown yellowish tones). I used wall paints for this job as they are very mate and give this concrete, rocky aspect to the walls. Second step was to paint the metallic parts, on this parts I applied a wash of Agrax Earthshade. I also used this wash to shade some of the grey areas. Once the wash was fully dried I start applying pigments ti weathering the walls and platforms of the fortress. I used reddish pigments for the rust effects and black and brown to create some shades and dirtiness. I finished by doing some of the details directly on the sprue (Heavy bolters, search lights, sensors,...) and gluing them once fully painted.
